New online Contract Management training now available

HealthShare Victoria (HSV) is launching a training course on contract management to support health service staff involved in managing contracts and suppliers.

“We developed this training to supplement the knowledge of health service staff who manage aspects of contracts and interact with suppliers,” says Director Customer Engagement Alfred Matthews.

“The training program provides valuable insights on HSV’s procurement processes and best practice for contract management.”

The course is delivered online via video presentation and knowledge checks. It is set out in six modules, enabling participants to progress at their own pace.

The course aims to provide participants with a better understanding of their obligations and responsibilities in managing contracts. It also covers how to:

• be more effective in managing contracts and supplier relationships
• effectively drive continuous improvement
• obtain more value from contracts
• improve supplier performance.

The training will be available from Monday 19 December on ECHO, HSV’s learning management system. The training may also be provided via individual health services’ learning management systems. Check with your health service’s learning and development team whether they have arranged to upload HSV courses using HSV’s LMS integration tool.
