For suppliers

HealthShare Victoria (HSV) contracts are awarded through a robust and transparent process to ensure there is a level playing field for all prospective suppliers.

We work with large and local suppliers, procuring a range of equipment and services to support Victorian’s diverse health-care system.

If you are not an HSV contracted supplier already and wish to supply products during the COVID-19 pandemic please see our Prospective Suppliers page.

HSV awards around 50 collective contracts a year and works with over 400 contracted suppliers.

Our approach to procurement

As part of our commitment to transparency and accessibility, we advertise all open sourcing activities (tenders) on the HSV website. We encourage suppliers to register an account on our  website and  access the HSV Procurement Portal in order to stay up-to-date with the latest sourcing events.

HealthShare Victoria and changes to health sector supply chain

HealthShare Victoria (HSV) brings together the functions of Health Purchasing Victoria (HPV), and Melbourne Health’s warehousing and logistics operations. HSV is working closely with Melbourne Health Logistics (MHL) and Monash Health supply chain experts to stage the implementation of the new supply chain as benefits and service reliability are established.

Suppliers of goods and services to Melbourne Health Logistics (MHL) warehouse

MHL warehouse and logistics staff will soon transfer to HSV’s new central distribution centre located at Derrimut in north-west Melbourne. Operations at the distribution centre will commence in the second half of 2021.

Please note the distribution centre will not house all products ordered by Melbourne Health and its associated health services. It will initially stock a key selection of medical consumable products.

Suppliers can expect to receive orders from HSV and health services, depending on the product. As HSV will be a new account for your organisation, please read the key information for account set up with more detailed information including delivery point details to follow through direct communication and website updates in the coming months.
