Working together to onboard Western Health hospitals

HSV’s Logistics team has successfully delivered supply chain services to Bacchus Marsh Hospital and Melton Health on 29 June, working closely with the Western Health team to roll out an integrated onboarding process.

The onboarding process helps to prove – and improve – how HSV’s strategy and commercial, performance and insights, supply chain and business analysis expertise in aligning data brings together various supply chain elements so that each process is well defined, understood and works.

We're pleased to say that having completed the onboarding process for these services as part of Western Health, we’ve now established a solid blueprint for future activity, learning plenty along the way.

HSV’s Performance and Insights team is now undertaking further data analysis and starting to produce valuable real world information that will assist our operational decision-making, including for demand and supply planning.

We also have some good work underway on how we assess and approve product substitutions, as well as forecasting to support purchasing and capacity management at the Derrimut distribution centre. This work helps us manage our working capital to ensure we keep to budgeted levels.

In the coming months, the Demand and Supply team will expand to give us the right level of expertise in this critical area.
