HSV website now has multi-factor authentication

HSV's website now has multi-factor authentication (MFA) security. Users signing in to HSV’s website will notice changes to the sign-in process and will be prompted to complete additional verification steps when accessing their account. These changes have been introduced to strengthen security and help protect user information and organisational systems.

You can find step-by-step instructions and screenshots below to help you navigate the new sing-in experience, including troubleshooting steps if you do not receive a verification code during sign-in.

Step 1 - Sign in to the HSV website

  1. Select Sign in from the main menu.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. Select Submit.
  4. You will see a message on screen titled 'Action required to keep your account secure'.

  2. Select the link in the email. This will take you back to the Sign in screen on the website.
  3. On the Sign in screen, if your email address is not automatically populated, enter your email address and select Submit.
  4. Paste or enter the temporary password in the Enter password field.
  5. Select Sign in.

  1. Enter the temporary password from the email in Step 2.
  2. Enter and confirm your new password.
  3. Select Sign in.
  4. If your new password does not meet the password requirements, you'll see an error message.

Your password must:

  • Be at least 8 characters long
  • Include at least one uppercase letter
  • Include at least one lowercase letter
  • Include at least one number
  • Include at least one symbol

Your new password must also be different from your temporary password and any current password associated with your account.
