Update on HSV's transition to the Department of Health

In December 2025, the government accepted a number of recommendations delivered in the Independent Review of the Victorian Public Service (the Silver Review).

As part of these recommendations, HealthShare Victoria (HSV) was identified as an entity to be integrated into the Department of Health in an effort to improve efficiencies and make it easier for businesses to interact with government.

We are pleased to share with you that we have commenced this integration with the department. Our priority throughout this process is to support a smooth transition for both our team and to ensure ongoing continuity of service for our sector and suppliers.

Currently, the HSV team is in a period of consultation and at this point we expect there will be no change to the function and structure of the Customer Engagement team.

As a valued stakeholder of HSV we will communicate any changes to our current ways of working as soon as we can.

To help keep you informed along the way, we will soon be inviting you to a HSV sector/stakeholder forum, where we will be joined by colleagues from the department to talk through the details and answer any questions you may have. Please look out for this invite in the coming weeks.
