User-informed website redesign nearing completion

HSV Update website refresh 2026

HealthShare Victoria (HSV) is preparing to launch a refreshed website in the coming months, making it easier for health services and suppliers to find the information they need.

The redesign introduces a new homepage, simplified navigation and an updated look and feel, while retaining the content and services our users rely on. The changes are designed to create clearer pathways for health services and suppliers, helping users find relevant information quickly and navigate HSV's services with greater confidence.

Designed with user feedback

The redesign has been shaped by feedback from health services and suppliers who participated in structured user testing sessions in late 2025.

Participants completed a range of common website tasks using a prototype of the new site, providing valuable insights into how they navigate HSV's information and where improvements could be made. Their feedback informed the new information architecture, navigation and page layouts to better support real-world user needs.

Improving the user experience was a key driver of the redesign.

"Past HSV customer survey results have consistently highlighted website navigation as an area needing improvement,” says HSV General Manager Customer Engagement Alfred Matthews.

“Health service users told us they often found it difficult to locate the information they needed and that content was frequently written for people who were already familiar with HSV's services and processes.

“We also recognised that the website lacked an intuitive entry point for suppliers, making it harder for them to find relevant information and complete common tasks," Alfred says.

"This redesign has been guided by direct user feedback and testing. The result is a website that is easier to navigate, more audience-focused and better equipped to support both health services and suppliers."

HSV thanks all participants who contributed their time and feedback throughout the testing process.

What's happening now

The website redesign project is in its final stages of development and review, with internal stakeholder reviews and quality assurance testing underway to validate content, navigation, functionality and key user journeys before launch.

Feedback from this process is being used to refine the design and ensure the new website delivers a more intuitive and reliable experience for health services and suppliers.

What's changing?

When the redesigned website launches, users will notice:

  • a new homepage designed to improve discoverability
  • a simplified main menu with clearer navigation pathways
  • new audience-based overview pages that make it easier to explore major website sections
  • audience-based colour themes to help distinguish content for health services and suppliers
  • a refreshed visual design that provides a more modern and consistent user experience.

My Dashboard

While the website experience is being refreshed, there will be only minor changes to My Dashboard at launch. Registered users will continue to access the same systems, tools and information they use today, with no changes to core functionality.

The updates to My Dashboard are limited to:

  • A refreshed look and feel that aligns with the redesigned website.
  • Some quick links from the Dashboard landing page being relocated to the Dashboard menu.
  • Minor changes to the names of some Dashboard menu options.

The Dashboard landing page will clearly highlight these changes, making it easy for users to become familiar with the updated navigation and continue accessing information and services as usual.

Preview the new website

Before the redesigned website is launched, HSV will host preview sessions for high-frequency website users.

These sessions will provide an opportunity to explore the new design, understand what's changing and ask questions ahead of deployment.

We will reach out to high-frequency users in the coming months with invitations to the sessions.

If you are a regular HSV website user and would like to attend a preview session, please email info@healthsharevic.org.au to register your interest.
