HSV Purchasing Policies
The five HSV Purchasing Policies (HSV PPs) are instructions for conducting best-practice procurement for Victoria’s public health services. We have created the HSV PPs as part of our legislative function under the Health Services Act 1988 (Vic).
By law, health services must comply with the HSV PPs when procuring goods and services and are required to report on their compliance with them.
The HSV PPs are a best-practice procurement guide designed to ensure:
- greater oversight of government spending
- a principles-based approach to implementing probity strategy into procurement practices
- simplified procurement processes
- value for money.
