HealthShare Victoria Organisational Update

As we reported last month, following reduced levels of funding across the Victorian health sector and the winding down of pandemic response initiatives, HSV made the difficult decision to reduce organisational resourcing.

Following a consultation process which ended on 30 April 2024, a total of 24 roles have been discontinued. However, by discontinuing roles from which people resigned and those at the end of fixed term contracts and matching displaced employees to current vacant positions, only 11 HSV employees have left the organisation due to redundancy. In addition, two executive positions have been discontinued.

HSV Chief Executive Neil Rodaway said that following a productive consultation process, 14 affected employees were able to be matched to current vacant positions.

The resource rebalancing initiative has resulted in a reduction of three employees within the Customer Engagement team. 

“We extend our thanks to the three outgoing members of the Customer Engagement team - Kim Walsh, Euan Boulton and Vicki Kilbride. We appreciate their contributions to HSV and the broader health sector,” he said.

In addition to these changes, Sergio Lacchiana has been appointed Head of Customer Relationships. Sergio will coordinate the introduction of the new Customer Engagement team to each health service as part of the transition.

Catriona is an accomplished health sector leader with 38 years of experience, specialising in clinical procurement, organisational change and stakeholder management. Catriona is recognised for driving success through transformative initiatives, optimising clinical processes and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Western Region

Mike McCrabb - Senior Customer Relationship Manager

With a background in applied science and business, Mike’s career has been commercially focused in both the private and government sectors. He has worked in Procurement as a Senior Category Manager and in Customer Engagement, as well as providing direct support to HSV’s Derrimut Distribution Centre. Mike has been with HSV for 10 years.

Aaron Atkinson - Customer Relationship Manager

Aaron is an experienced health professional and Customer Relationship Manager with a proven track record of exceeding targets and building strong customer relationships. With a background in nursing, workforce development, project management and procurement, Aaron has a natural ability to understand customer needs and consistently strives to exceed customer expectations. Aaron prides himself on his communication skills and strategic approach, which have helped him thrive within government and the health sector.

North Eastern Region

Trish Boschin - Senior Customer Relationship Manager

Trish Boschin is an accomplished procurement professional with a proven track record of delivering strategic sourcing solutions across diverse industries and categories, driving value-added outcomes. Trish has been a Customer Relationship Manager in the Loddon Mallee region for the past seven years and led procurement reform across the sector in 2014.

Matthew Erickson - Customer Relationship Manager

Matthew Erickson has over 15 years of experience in equipment applications, marketing and key account management with global medical technology companies in the ANZ public and private healthcare sectors. He has been a Customer Relationship Manager in the Hume Region for the past five years.
