Description

Electricity metering is mandatory to access grid electricity and for large sites is a contestable expense. HealthShare Victoria has a single metering agreement with Mondo to better manage data and minimise this contestable expense.

As per requirements under National Electricity Rules (Chapter 7 - Metering), as adopted pursuant to the National Electricity (Victoria) Law, Mondo provides the following services:
* Metering Coordinator role
* Metering Provider Services - which means the provision,
installation, registration, commissioning and maintenance of metering
equipment n accordance with the Rules
* Metering Data Provider Services (in relation to metering equipment - which means:
* the collection, processing and validation of metering data
* storing of meter data on-line and off-line
* aggregation of metering data and electronic provision of data to AEMO (Australian Energy Market Operator) in a standard format
* provision of data to Rules participants (eg., retailer)

Metering services are provided to almost all sites on the HSV large sites' electricity agreement. For those sites using >40MWh per year but under a threshold infrastructure feed-in size, the electricity distributor is the mandated supplier of type 5 or 6 meters (including remotely read and advanced smart meters). Metering fees are approved by the Australian Energy Regulator and published. This metering charge will appear on the electricity invoice for the few sites not eligible for interval meters
