Two new members appointed to HSV Board

HSV welcomed two new Board members on 1 July 2024, Professor Erwin Loh and Associate Professor Sue Kirsa. Erwin and Sue will fill the roles of outgoing independent Board members Felicity Topp and Ingrid Player. 

Erwin Loh

Erwin is President-elect of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators and National Director of Medical Services for Calvary Health Care. He was previously Chief Medical Officer at Goulburn Valley Health and Monash Health, and Group Chief Medical Officer at St Vincent’s Health Australia.

Erwin has qualifications in medicine, law and management and adjunct professorial appointments at Monash University, the University of Melbourne and Macquarie University. He received the Distinguished Fellow Award from RACMA in 2017 for ‘commitment to governance, research and publication’.

Sue Kirsa2

Sue is the Director of Pharmacy at Monash Health. She is also a member of the Board of the Australian Pharmacy Council, where she was the Chair for six years to May 2024. She holds an adjunct position at the Monash University Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, where she chairs the Stakeholder Reference Group for the Vertically Integrated Master of Pharmacy degree.

Prior to joining Monash Health in 2015, Sue was Director of Pharmacy at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Sue has many years of experience as a hospital and community pharmacist. Her research interests include quality use of medicines, antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacy practice.

The HSV Board, Executive Leadership Team and wider HSV team thank Felicity and Ingrid for their service to HSV and welcome Erwin and Sue to the Board.
