Crowdstrike outage: No material impact on HSV customers identified

HealthShare Victoria is ready to support health service customers who may be affected by a major IT outage affecting multiple companies and organisations across Australia.

The outage appears to be isolated to software used by global IT security services company Crowdstrike.

Crowdstrike software is not used by HSV and we are not aware of any direct impact on our IT systems or our stakeholder partners.

We have contacted all of our health service customers who report they continue to be able to transmit orders to HSV as normal following the outage. We will continue to stay in contact to support any emerging requirements.

HSV actions to date:

  • HSV has investigated the potential impact of the outage on our IT systems. We have not identified any effect on our systems to date.
  • We continue to monitor and check our systems.
  • We are continuing to check in with customers to support any needs.
  • We will continue to post updates for our health service customers as required.

HSV support is available:

We are continuing to monitor the situation and will keep customers advised of any further developments.
