Receiving orders from HealthShare Victoria
HealthShare Victoria (HSV) is working closely with Melbourne Health Logistics (MHL) to implement the new supply chain to ensure service reliability is established. This supply chain model will extend statewide over the coming two years.
For health suppliers, the move to HSV is designed to facilitate more streamlined purchasing via a single purchaser.
HSV’s new central distribution centre located at Derrimut in north-west Melbourne. Distribution centre operations will commence in the second half of 2021 and ordering will commence from early May.
For current suppliers, some agreements may need to be adjusted to reflect HSV’s new supply chain role. These suppliers will be contacted directly regarding any proposed changes.
The distribution centre will not house all products ordered by Melbourne Health and its associated health services – namely Western Health, Northern Health, The Royal Women’s Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital, the Royal Eye and Ear Hospital and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. It will initially stock a key selection of medical consumable products with the volume of products increasing over time.
Suppliers can expect to receive orders from HSV and health services, depending on the product.
As HSV will be a new account for all suppliers, we have included key information – including accounts payable and delivery details – to assist you to establish HSV in your system, whether you are providing stocked items, non-stock or both.
