COVID-19
HealthShare Victoria’s (HSV) priority throughout the COVID-19 pandemic is to support Victoria’s public health services in maintaining continuity of supply. The Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) also tasked HSV with helping to establish a centralised ‘buffer’ stock of essential items.
Health services and contracted suppliers
Health services and suppliers will need to sign in to the website to view updates and information:
Private health services - HSV accounts are for mandated health services. Public health services can send any enquiries about COVID-19 or PPE to helpdesk@healthsharevic.org.au
Centralisation of ordering - PPE products
The Victorian Government has centralised the ordering and distribution of Tier 1 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), swabs, hand sanitisers and critical equipment to ensure that essential supplies reach areas with the greatest clinical need.
Health services can access a list of HSV contracted products which have been redirected to the State Supply Chain (Monash Health) here. Please note only health services can access this file when logged into their account.
HSV contracted suppliers will need to redirect their orders to the State Supply Chain (Monash Health) - see the signed in section of this website for details: Read more.
Product Information Library
A Product Information Library (PIL) is available on this website providing key information about essential products that your health service may receive through the State Supply Centre (SSC) via Monash Health. Please note:
- All stock being imported or sourced locally complies with relevant applicable quality standards and has undergone a preliminary assessment of the products’ suitability for their specified application.
- The PIL is not an ordering catalogue. The SSC will only be able to dispatch items from categories of products according to what is available at a given point in time.
Respirator Masks Ready Reckoner
A ready reckoner with details about respirator masks and accessories procured by HSV is available.
The ready reckoner provides brief details about fluid-resistant and non-fluid resistant respirator masks and related accessories that health services may receive through the State Supply Centre (SSC).
Product Feedback Procedure
The procedure for feedback on products provides information about how to report faults and issues with products purchased during the pandemic.
Emergency Food Supply
An emergency food supply is available for health and community services when a facility’s meal preparation capability is significantly disrupted due to staff absences or isolation arising from Coronavirus (COVID-19) exposure.
Emergency Food Supply options can be found here: https://healthsharevic.org.au/contracts-and-documents/general
